Anyone who’s driven to make things better will have a hard time getting it done simply because of other humans; they’re targets for jealousy and hate.
In Tijuana, where I live, I can say with full confidence that people in power look the other way when I’m around. Why? Because I don’t kiss anyone’s ass other than my own. I don’t stand for the status quo and act to change it. I don’t stand mediocrity and act to change it.
My attitude is not talk, it’s real.
I’ve gotten blocked from achieving things because of jealousy. I’ve been told by people who are close to me that I should dim my light. They’ve tried, unsuccessfully, to kill my spirit.
Albert Einstein once said that “Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.”
Of course, I’m not the only one who’s put up with bullshit. You have probably been ignored, blocked, ridiculed or any other negative action. Let me tell you something: people are jealous because they wish they had your light; silently they tell themselves they wish they had your courage.
Ignore them. Know that they’re they ones who are suffering because they haven’t evolved enough to let their light out. Don’t let anyone kill your spirit. Don’t let yourself be discouraged, keep fighting the fight, don’t bow down and never give up.
