This is the eigth of a series of weekly posts where I will answer a few common questions about innovation. Please feel free to add your own response. Also, if you have any questions you think we should discuss, let me know.
Via Quora: What are some of the first questions you would ask your employees and colleagues to spark innovative thinking, or positive change within and without the company?
My answer:
- What do you think sucks about the company, product and/or service and why? What would you change?
- If you were appointed CEO and could to start the company, product and/or service from scratch; what three things would you focus on?
- If Steve Jobs walked into our company, what would he recommend us do to help us be more innovative? – (same question can be used for different people. Meant to help view the situation from different angles)
- What does innovation mean to you? And how would you go about helping the company create a shared definition of innovation?
